
Men's Golf Adds Two to Class of '24

The Kent State Men's Golf team is adding two signees to the Class of 2024.
Darcy Hogg
Hometown: Belfast, Ireland
Hogg will be the first Irish golfer in program history. Hogg represented the Irish U18 team for the last three years and was part of the first winning Irish Home Internationals Team in 10 years.
In 2023, Hogg was the the champion of the Ulster Boys U18 Championship. He also represented Ulster in both the boy's and men's interprovincial championships. Hogg attends the Royal Belfast Academial Institution, captaining the golf team for the past two years. The Irishman has collected six of seven Ulster School's titles and one All Ireland Schools' Title.
In over 30 junior events that Hogg has competed in the last five years, the Golden Flash commit has finished outside of the top ten only five times.
"Darcy possesses solid power and a work ethic that will fit perfectly into this program," said head coach Jon Mills. "Definitely excited to have our first Irish player join the flashes family!" said Mills.
Isaiah Ibit
Hometown: Orleans, Ontario
Isaiah Ibit plans to join the Kent State men's golf program in the Fall of 2024. The Canadian has racked up a number of honors provincially and nationally.
Ibit was the 2023 Golf Ontario Spring Classic Champion and the 2023 Golf Canada Ontario NextGen Champion.
The future Golden Flash recorded 2nd place finishes at the 2023 Golf Canada Selection Camp and the AJGA Killington Championship while tying for 4th at the 2023 Golf Ontario Men's Amateur Championship.
"I am very excited to have Isaiah join the Kent State family," said Mills. "I got to watch him a lot this summer and was very impressed with his ability to always put himself in the mix. He's very competitive and has the skill set to make a big impact at the collegiate level," said Mills.
