
Flashes Track & Field Heads to Louisville

The Kent State track and field teams will return to action at the University of Louisville's Clark Wood Invitational on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29.
Competition on Friday begins with the women's hammer throw at 11 a.m. Running events are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. with the women's 800-meter run and will conclude with the men's 5,000-meter run at 6:45 p.m.
Saturday's action will begin with the women's javelin throw and women's pole vault at 10 a.m. Competition on the track starts with the women's 100-meter hurdles at 12:10 p.m. The men's 4x400-meter relay will conclude the meet at 5:30 p.m.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State has 44 student-athletes entered for competition at the Clark Wood Invitational.
Four Golden Flashes slated to compete own the top mark in the Mid-American Conference in their respective events. Scott Benco is the conference leader in the men's javelin throw, Quintin Cooks in the men's 800-meter run, Nolan Landis in the men's discus throw and Jonathan Solomon in the men's 400-meter dash.
Lillie Franks (women's high jump), Alexandre Malanda (men's triple jump), Aliesha Shaw (women's shot put) and Alexandria Verbancic (women's 400-meter hurdles) ranks second in the MAC in their events.

The Golden Flashes will conclude preparations for the conference meet at the WVU Last Chance on Saturday, May 6.
