Student-Athlete Academic Services
Athletic academic counseling offices as well as a student-athlete study space and lounge are located in the MAC Center, room 185.Â

Student-athletes frequent the space to meet with their assigned academic counselor, utilize computers, or to simply have a place to relax between classes. Student-athlete academic reminders and accomplishments are displayed on the scrolling monitor in the area. Free printing is available in this area to all student-athletes.

Athletic Academic Resource Center
At Kent State, student-athletes have access to a state-of-the-art academic resource center that was made possible by donations from Kent State alumni George L. Jenkins, ’63, and John D. and Joyce R. Farrell, ’51 and ’53. Jenkins, an attorney, who competed on the KSU football team and Farrell, a businesswoman, participated in the KSU track and field program. The area also includes a wall of fame honoring Kent State University Academic All-Americans.

The resource center, commonly called the "ARC", is located in the MAC Center and consists of a lobby, offices for learning specialists, tutors and graduate students, and a Mac lab. The main study area has approximately 70 study carrels with desktop computers and additional space for wireless laptops. Free printing is available to all student-athletes utilizing the ARC. The ARC is monitored at all times to ensure a quiet study environment.

ARC hours are Monday-Thursday, 8AM-9PM and Fridays, 8:00AM-4:00PM.

Mac Lab
The KSU Athletics Mac Lab is located within the Athletic Academic Resource Center. The iMac computers in the center are fully equip with all software necessary for the academic needs of KSU student-athletes.
