Kylie Gross enters her second season as an assistant coach at Kent State.
During her first season on staff in 2022, Gross helped outfielder Madison Hershberger enjoy a breakout sophomore campaign and earn All-MAC Second Team honors. As a team, the Golden Flashes had the most stolen bases in a season since 2015.
Gross spent two seasons on the coaching staff at Hillsdale College, where she served as the team's pitching coach, among other duties, prior to arriving in Kent. In 2021, she helped the Chargers achieve their winningest season since 1991 and advance to the elimination bracket final of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, finishing with a 33-19 overall record.
Prior to Hillsdale, Gross was a graduate assistant at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota during the 2019 season. She was a three-year student-athlete at Toledo and started 66 of the 142 games she played from 2015-17.
The two-time Academic All-MAC honoree graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on marketing and supply chain management from the University of Toledo in December 2017. Gross then completed a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership at Black Hills State in 2019.
