• Earned early season starting nod at 165 with intrasquad scrimmage win over Obie Simpson.
2008-09
• Was redshirted
• Finished 18-9 wrestling as an unattached wrestler
• Won the Ashland Open (11/15) at 165 pounds
• Lost his first match at the Cleveland State open (12/14) before rattling off five-straight wins to finish third.
2007-08
• Finished fourth in the 157-pound weight class at the Mid-American Conference Championships
• Finished the season with a 10-20 record
• Finished 2-1 at the Lock Have Duals, helping KSU to a perfect 3-0 record.
2006-07
• Was pulled out of his redshirt to start at 165 for the Flashes
• Posted a record of 9-24 with one major decision
• Recorded back-to-back wins at the Wendy’s Duals.
Prior to Kent State
• Became the first state champion at Otsego High School as a senior
• Finished with a record of 34-2 as a senior
• Earned all-state honors as a sophomore
• Claimed all-district honors during freshman and junior seasons
• Earned all-county honors in each of his last three seasons
• Posted a career record of 135-25
• Coached by Doc Lefler and Brad Marzec
• Also earned four varsity letters in football.
