Prior to Kent State: Placed eighth at Pennsylvania state tournament at 152 pounds...was a district and regional champion as a senior, finishing with a 36-8 record...went 28-10 as a junior with a fourth place finish at the district tournament...placed sixth at districts as a sophomore, completing a 30-10 season...grabbed a fifth place finish at district tournament as a freshman, concluding a 30-8 year...earned Inter-County All-Star accolades as a senior and honorable mention during freshman and junior seasons...was a three-time member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association All-Academic Team...was a member of three district championship teams at Westmont Hilltop...the Hilltoppers won a conference title during his sophomore season and were ranked fifth in the state his senior year...earned 11 varsity letters at Hilltop: four in wrestling, four in baseball and three in football...named Outstanding Male Athlete at Hilltop following his senior year...earned all-state honors in football as a senior.
