KSU CAREER: The premier female athlete in Kent State history…Earned seven Varsity “K’s”, four in basketball and three in tennis…Is the all-time leading scorer (men and women) in KSU basketball history with 2,071 points…Three-time team MVP (1980-83)…Kodak All-Region team selection as a junior and senior…At one time held three KSU records…Team captain as a senior…Is the only woman in KSU history to have uniform number (#13) retired…Was selected most improved player as a frosh (tennis) and “Rookie of the Year” in basketball…MVP of tennis team…HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: An outstanding athlete who lettered 11 times in three sports: four times each in basketball and track and three times in tennis…1978 graduate of Struthers High School…Chosen Ohio AAA MVP as a senior…Associated Press and UPI Player of the Year…Parade All-American Team (Honorable Mention) 1978…All-Steel Valley pick in track…POST KSU CAREER: Has continued her interest in athletics by participating in basketball and softball leagues as well as playing in amateur tennis tournaments…PERSONAL: Born on June 25, 1960 in Westpoint, NY…Earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1982…Owner of her won business…Enjoys sports including; basketball, tennis, horseback riding & jumping, water skiing, aerobics, and weight lifting.
