Charles Frederick Kilbourne - Graduated from KSU (B.S. Ed., 1932) . . . Born September 10, 1908 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio . . . Graduated from Kent, Roosevelt High School where he earned an incredible 14 varsity letters . . . As a prep, he lettered four times in each football and track, and three times each in basketball and tennis . . . Twice captain of football and basketball teams . . . Captured state pole vault championship . . . Earned 11 varsity letters at Kent State in fives sports of football (4), basketball (3), baseball (2), and one of each in track and tennis . . . Captain of 1929 and 1930 football teams and 1929 basketball squad . . . Was All-Ohio fullback at 6-2, 225 pounds during his playing days . . . His 99-yard punt against John Carroll in 1929 still remains a school record . . . Once intercepted five passes in game against an undefeated Capital squad in 1930.
