HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: A 1939 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School where he earned eight varsity letters in basketball (3), baseball (3), and football (2)…Helped his team to the league title in basketball as a senior and was All-Western Reserve League pick that year…Also earned All-City honors in baseball as a senior…KSU CAREER: Served as the head coach of the Golden Flashes in 1948-51 and Assistant Athletic Director in 1955-56…Guided the Flashes to their first ever 20-win season in 1948-49 when Kent posted a 20-8 record…Led Kent to a 71-49 (.592) overall mark during his tenure…Guided the Flashes to their best winning percentage (.818) with an 18-4 mark in 1949-50…PERSONAL: Earned his degree in physical education and history from Muskingham College in 1943 and his Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education from Ohio State University in 1951…Lettered nine times as a collegian, three each in basketball, baseball, and football…Captained the football team as a senior and was an All-Ohio pick in basketball as a senior…Served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater…Is currently the owner of M&M Sales Company of Thousand Oaks, California…he is a member of Kiwanis International, American Management Association, and the Westlake village Chamber of Commerce…He and his wife, Jane, have two sons, David and Daniel.
