HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: Graduated from Lorain Southview High School in 1977…Earned two varsity letters in baseball and one in basketball…Two-time All-NEOC selection in baseball…All-Ohio pick as a senior…KSU CAREER: Four-year letterman on the diamond for the Flashes (1978-81)…Selected team captain in both his junior and senior seasons…Three-time team MVP All-Mid-American Conference catcher as a junior and senior…All-Mideast Regional pick in 1980 & 1981…All-American selection in 1980…Set KSU marks for homeruns, RBI, total bases…Led team with .400 average as a junior…Had strong arm and was a fine defensive catcher…POST KSU CAREER: Drafted by the San Francisco Giants following his senior season…Played in the Giants minor league organization for two years (1981-82)…Played local amateur baseball for several teams, including Field Falcons, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and Central Reserve Life…Selected MVP of the 1984 Stan Musial Regional Tournament.
