HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: A 1972 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Cleveland…Lettered in football as a junior and a senior and was named to the all-city squad…KSU CAREER: Directed the Golden Flashes to their only Mid-American Conference football championships and a Tangerine Bowl berth in 1972…Lettered four times (1972-75) and was team captain as a senior…Set 15 offensive records and still holds, or is tied for, 14 Kent marks…Career yardage leader with 6, 238 (passing-rushing yards)…Also holds career records for most plays (1,066), passes attempted (786), passes completed (405), touchdown passes (30), passing yardage (5,587) and interceptions (49)…Selected All-MAC First Team as a sophomore…Earned All- MAC Honorable Mention his frosh and junior seasons…Named MAC Player of the Week as a junior…Ranked eighth in the NCAA in total offense (2,010) as a senior…Set Kent record for most passing attempts in a game (42) in the Tangerine Bowl…Played in the All-Ohio Bowl as a senior…Earned his general studies degree from Kent in 1980…POST KSU CAREER: Drafted in the ninth round by the New Orleans Saints in 1976.
