KSU CAREER: Earned four Varsity “K’s” in track for the Flashes (1971-74) and also played football during his sophomore year…A seven-time All-American in track, three times indoor (35-pound weight) and four time outdoor (hammer)…Won two hammer titles in MAC (1973-74) and NCAA (1971 & 73)…Captured 1972 NCAA indoor title in 35-pound weight…Also won MAC shot put title in 1973…Teamed with Al Schoterman to give Kent an imposing 1-2 punch in weight events, the pair placed one-two in four NCAA championships…Joined Gerald Tinker and Teddy Harris to form a three-man team at the 1973 NCAA Track Championships and propelled Kent to a second-place finish, the highest ever for a Kent team…POST KSU CAREER: Member of the French Olympic Team in the hammer throw…Coaching a team, the Dolphins, in the French football Federation…PERSONAL: Born on May 23, 1950 in Division, France…Earned his B.A. from Kent in 1974 in Business Administration…Returned to his homeland and is currently the Director of the French Football Federation League Board…Joins his former coach, Doug Raymond, as one of this year’s inductees.
