Graduated from Kent in 1921…Retired teach and coach of 49 ½ years…Received letters in football, basketball, baseball, and track at Kent…At Kent, while a member of the varsity basketball team he also coached at Kent High School…Coached at South Euclid High School and according to South Euclid Citizen Newspaper article, he “brought with him a system of zone defense that was new in the high school field in Cuyahoga County…And before rival coaches caught up with it, his squads ran up some sensational defensive records”…His 1930 Brush High School teams advanced to the semifinals of the class B state championship in Columbus…An industrial arts teacher, the gymnasium at Brush is named in his honor…Was instrumental in assisting Richard “Moose” Paskert develop the KSU pictorial Hall of Fame display in the east corridor of Memorial Gymnasium…One of the most avid supporters of Kent athletics.
