Densevich was an All-American in the shot put for Kent State in 1997 when he finished 12th in the nation (58-1.25). A MAC Champion in the indoor shot put (58-2 in 1997) and outdoor shot put (58-1.75 in 1998) he was selected to the Indoor Academic All-MAC First Team in 1996 & 1997. A product of Youngstown, Ohio and Austintown Fitch High School, Densevich was the recipient of the Merle Wagoner Award in 1998 recognizing the Kent State senior male student-athlete who has demonstrated the most exceptional combined qualities of leadership, athletic ability and academic performance.
