KSU CAREER: Coached the Kent baseball team from 1949-61…The Golden Flashes posted a 132-100-1 record (.569 winning percentage) during his tenure and had winning season in 10 of his 13 at the helm…Ten of his Kent players went on to play professionally, including Varsity “K” Hall of Famers Lou Bocci, Mike Feduniak, Nobby Lewandowski, Gene Michael, and Rich Rollins…In addition to his coaching duties he served as a professor a and associate dean in Kent’s School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation from 1948-75…PERSONAL: Received his bachelor’s degree from Ashland College in 1941…Earned his master’s degree in physical education and social administration in 1952, both from the Ohio State University…Was honored with a distinguished alumni achievement award from Ashland College in 1971 and the outstanding health and physical education alumni award from Ashland in 1978…Born on February 16, 1910…He and his wife have three children.
