Fisher Named MAC East and Kent State Athlete of the Week

Junior guard Al Fisher (Pennsauken, N.J./ Redlands C.C.) was named Kent State and Mid-American Conference East Player of the Week for his performances this past week. The men's basketball team defeated Central Michigan 79-66 (Feb. 12) and Ohio 72-62 (Feb. 16).
Against the Chippewas Tuesday night, Fisher led the team with a career-high 28 points and contributed seven assists. He followed that up by leading the team in points (17) and rebounds (six) against Ohio Saturday afternoon.
Kent State returns to action Tuesday night when they travel to New York to take on the Buffalo Bulls at 7 p.m.
