Kent State vs. Ball State Still Set To Play Wednesday Night

The Game
Kent State (17-7; 8-2) hosts Ball State (12-10; 6-4) on Wednesday night looking to complete a sweep of the MAC West for a second consecutive year. The Golden Flashes enter the game having won seven straight.
In a showdown of MAC Divisional leaders on Saturday, Kent State earned a 68-63 win at Central Michigan after overcoming a nine-point second half deficit to maintain its lead atop the MAC standings.
Senior guard Chris Singletary had a huge game with 19 points, a team high six rebounds and six assists helping him earn MAC East Co-Player of Week honors. Its the second straight week and third time this season Singletary has been honored. During MAC play he leads the team with 13.7 points per game while also averaging 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Singletary, who has a 3:1 assist:turnover ratio (36:12) in the last seven games, is the only active MAC player with over 1,100 career points, 400 rebounds, 250 assists and 150 steals.
Sophomore Justin Greene also had a big week, including a 22-point performance on Saturday in which he shot 9-12 from the field to go along with five rebounds and three steals. Greene is averaging a team high 15.0 ppg during the seven game win streak as Kent State has been victorious in six of the last seven games when has led the team in scoring. Red-shirt junior guard Rodriquez Sherman hit two key jumpers with less than four minutes left on Saturday and is shooting 55.8 percent and averaging 11.3 ppg during the seven game win streak. Sherman has given KSU a +134 (19.1 points per game) advantage in points scored when he is on the court the past seven games.
Ball State had a four game winning streak snapped with a 75-70 overtime loss to Akron last Saturday The Cardinals are led by 2009 MAC Freshman of the Year Jarrod Jones with 12.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Jauwan Scaife is also in double figures with 10.0 ppg.
