Complete 2013-14 Schedule
KENT, Ohio – The Kent State men's basketball team announced the Mid-American Conference portion of its schedule for the 2013-14 campaign on Tuesday.
The MAC returns to an 18-game format, which was last used during the 2005-06 season. Each school will play seven teams (five in division, two cross-division) twice and the remaining four cross-division teams once. This year's additional cross-divisional matchups were randomly selected by the conference office.
The Golden Flashes will begin conference play in the friendly confines of the M.A.C. Center on Wednesday, January 8 against Ohio, which shared last season's regular season conference title. Central Michigan and Northern Illinois will be the two schools from the West Division that the Flashes play twice.
Kent State will host rival Akron on Saturday, February 1 in the first of two scheduled meetings as part of the PNC Wagon Wheel Challenge. The two squads will meet again for the regular season finale in Akron on either March 7 or 8.
Head coach Rob Senderoff and the Golden Flashes will play a school record 18 home games this season, beginning with the opener against Ohio Northern on Friday, November 8.
