No. 22 Golden Flashes Roll Western Michigan Friday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – No. 22 Kent State gymnastics team took down Western Michigan 194.025-192.100 Friday, January 24 in a Mid-American Conference meet in the University Arena.
The Golden Flashes (5-1, 2-0 MAC) were led by Marie Case who took first in the All-Around with a score of 39.150. The Flashes owned the Balance Beam as they took first, second and third. Case took first (9.850), Nicolle Eastman took second (9.800) and Nicole Radon took third with a score of 9.750.
Case tied for first in the floor exercise with a routine that scored her a 9.850. Amiah Mims tied for first in the vault (9.800) as she took third in the floor with a score of 9.825. With a score of 9.775, Jaymi Baxter came in third on the vault. Chelsea Drooger and Becca Osmer both tied for third on the uneven parallel bars with a 9.750.
As a team, the Flashes scored 48.575 on the vault, 48.525 on the uneven parallel bars, 48.150 on the balance beam and a 48.775 on the floor exercise.
No. 22 Gymnastics returns home on Friday, February 7 to host Northern Illinois at 7 pm in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center in Kent for the Flip for the Cure event.
