Kent State’s Gymnastics Team Opened the Season with a Exhibition Victory at Pitt

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Kent State's Gymnastics team kicked off the season with a 191.750-180.600 win in the Blue-Gold exhibition meet on Saturday, December 6th in Pittsburgh.
The Golden Flashes recorded team scores of 48.250 on vault, 47.550 on bars, 47.850 on the balance beam and a 48.100 on the floor exercise.
On the vault, Kent State saw team high scores of 9.750 from Chelsea Drooger and Brooke Timko, while Skyelee Lamano posted a 9.700.
On the bars, Rachel Stypinski had team high 9.750. Stypinski led the way on the balance beam with a 9.800 for the Golden Flashes.
Jordan Hardison led the team on the floor exercise with a 9.750.
Kent State starts regular season action on Friday, January 16th when they travel to Columbia, Mo. to take on the University of Missouri and Towson University.
