KENT, Ohio โ Kent State men's basketball alum Jimmy Hall is set to begin his professional basketball career in France, having signed with St. Thomas Basket (STB) Le Havre in the Pro B division of Ligue Nationale de Basket.
STB Le Havre is a storied club in French basketball, with the team dating back to 1924. They compete in Le Havre, France, a northern coastal city in France's upper Normandy Region. The city is located along the English Channel and just under 200 kilometers northwest of Paris.
Hall will be competing with the team in the second division of the LNB, which utilizes a promotion/relegation system. Hall will look to lead the club to a regular season or playoff championship, which would promote the team to the first division.
Hall is one of the most decorated student-athletes in Kent State hoops history. A three-time First Team All-Mid-American Conference nominee, Hall is coming off his finest season in which he led the Golden Flashes to a MAC Tournament Championship and a bid in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. On the season, Hall led the Flashes across the board with 19 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. Hall's 683 total points is the most ever at Kent State, while his 383 rebounds is the second most ever in a single season.
Over a three-year Kent State career, Hall is the only player to record over 1,600 points and 800 rebounds. He finished his career third all-time in scoring at 1,683 points.
He finished his career with a 20-point, 15 rebound performance against third-seed UCLA, setting the mark for most rebounds ever in a NCAA Tournament game for Kent State.
