KENT STATE GAME NOTES
KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's basketball team hosts arch rival Akron on Saturday, February 17th at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear gold as part of a gold out at the M.A.C. Center, and can remain in the arena with the same ticket to watch the women's team play Miami at 4:30. The matchup, which is one of the best mid-major rivalries in the nation, will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network. The game can be heard on the Kent State IMG Sports Network.

- Junior guard Jaylin Walker leads the team in scoring (17.2 ppg) and scored in double-figures for the 10th consecutive game. He has 1,103 career points which is 25th in program history. Walker has made at least one three in every game this season and ranks 7th in threes (183) in school history.
- Senior guard Kevin Zabo got back into double-digit scoring with 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Zabo is second on the squad averaging 12.3 ppg, but went through a stretch of three single digit point performances.
- Kent State ranks sixth in the MAC in scoring defense (74.0) and in conference-only games is averaging 72.8 ppg, which is fifth in the league. The Golden Flashes are also the sixth-best shooting team in conference games, shooting 43.4%.
- Kent State is holding opponents to 33.5% from three-point distance, which is third in the MAC.
