Grimm Named First Team All-ASBA in League's Inaugural Season

MOBILE, Ala. – Former Kent State softball standout Maddy Grimm has been named First Team All-ASBA as announced by the American Softball Association on Monday (August 13). Grimm tied for first in the league with 10 home runs and also drove in 21 runs while hitting .254 with a .763 slugging percentage.
Grimm was a member of Moh-BEEL! USA which finished the season as the tournament runner up and an 18-12 record. The ASBA completed its inaugural season this summer with four clubs all based in the Mobile, Alabama with games taking place between June 15th and July 29th.
Grimm, the 2017 MAC Player of the Year, is one of the most decorated players in school and conference history and is Kent State's all-time leader and ranks second in the conference history in home runs (69) and RBIs (192). Throughout her career she is a three-time member of the All-MAC First Team, two-time member of the All-MAC Tournament Team and three-time NFCA All-Mideast Region First Team recipient.
