Four Flashes Named to All-Ohio Teams

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Kent State University soccer team had five award winners as part of the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association's (OCSA) All-Ohio Teams. Senior defender Paige Culver and sophomore midfielder Vital Kats were both named All-Ohio First Team while sophomore midfielder Maddie Holmes was tabbed All-Ohio Second Team.
The Golden Flashes had two named to Academic All-Ohio with Culver landing on the first team and junior defender Sierra Henderson-Muschett named to the second team.
Culver and Kats were both selected to the All-Ohio First Team last year, while Holmes and Henderson-Muschett are making their first appearances on the All-Ohio teams.
The OCSA was founded in 1953 and its first president was Cliff Stevenson, head soccer coach at Oberlin College, and it is one of the oldest soccer coaches associations in country.
Kent State finished the 2018 campaign with its eighth consecutive 10-win season and is the only Mid-American Conference team to accomplish that mark.
