Fraga Claims MAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State senior Samory Fraga has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
The Brazil native grabbed the victory in the long jump, breaking his own school record with a mark of 25'-05.25." He previously broke the Kent State record in 2018, reaching a mark of 25'-04.50." His jump was the best mark in the conference on the weekend and ranks third in the MAC and 20th nationally this season.
The Golden Flashes will round out the regular season on their home track, hosting the Kent State Tune Up on Saturday, Feb. 16.
