Goth and Scali Named to MAC Tournament Team

AKRON, Ohio – Kent State sophomore outfielder Kennadie Goth and redshirt freshman pitcher Andrea Scali were named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament Team, the conference office announced following the championship game on Saturday (May 11).
Goth went 6-for-12 at the plate and led the Golden Flashes in hits during KSU's four tournament games. She recorded a double against Toledo with two outs and was driven in the following hitter. She collected two hits in each game against Central Michigan and Toledo and overall has a hit in each of her last seven games.
Scali was a workhorse and pitched 24.0 innings and compiled a 1.46 ERA while holding the opposition to a .122 batting average. She struck out 31 and only walked five. She had her best performance against Central Michigan throwing 6.2 innings of no-hit ball before allowing a single.
