Flashes Ink Three in 2021 Signing Class

KENT, Ohio – Kent State Gymnastics announced addition of three student-athletes — Brynne Tsipis, Alyssa Guns and Grace Wehry — to the 2021 signing class.
"We are extremely excited about this incoming class," said Head Coach Brice Biggin. "All three young ladies bring in great talent, high level skills and a great attitude! They will make us a stronger, deeper team from the minute they arrive on campus. They are all wonderful student-athletes that will fit right into our values here at Kent State."
Here is a closer look at the 2021 Golden Flashes gymnastics signing class:
Brynne Tsipis
Tsipis joins the Flashes from Durham, N.C., where she trained at Bull City Gymnastics. Her high scores in level 10 include a 37.525 all-around, 9.7 on bars, 9.625 vault, 9.5 on floor and 9.2 on beam. In 2015, she was the level 8 regional all-around champion. Tsipis was an eastern national's qualifier in 2016, and qualified for level 10 regionals in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Also, in 2019, she was a JO National qualifier.
Hobbies: Cooking and listening to music

Alyssa Guns
Guns arrives in Kent from Royal Oak, Mich., and Hunt's Gymnastics Academy. She placed second 2020 Midwest Open All-Around Championship. Her career high scores are all-around 37.900, 9.625 on floor, 9.55 on vault, 9.5 on beam and 9.35 on bars. Guns placed third on beam and eighth in all-around at the 2019 Michigan State Championships.

Grace Wehry
Wehry comes to Kent State from Klingerstown, Pa., and Stallone Gymnastics. She placed second in all-around at States in 2019, as well as winning the bars championship. She also was a JO National qualifier. In addition to her athletic achievements, she was a member of the National Honor Society.
Hobbies: Traveling, Reading and Baking

"All three come from outstanding gyms with excellent coaching, and we know much of an asset that is when coming to college in gymnastics," said Biggin. "We feel extremely blessed and can't wait to welcome them into our Kent State family!"
