
Golden Flashes Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams have received All-Academic Team status from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2020 season.
To earn All-Academic Team distinction, a program must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.
The Golden Flashes' women's team had an historic fall semester in the classroom, as half of the student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 to help post a program record 3.799 team GPA. The men's team also had strong performances during the fall with a 3.484 GPA, which is the third-best term in program history.
Individually, junior Alex Stamper earned All-Academic honors. To qualify, a student-athlete must have completed at least one semester at the nominating institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and either participated in the NCAA Championships or finished in the top five among all individuals at his or her respective conference championship.
