Flashes Fall to Buffalo in Season Finale

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State soccer team lost 2-0 to Buffalo in the last game of the Mid-American Conference schedule on Thursday at Dix Stadium.
The Golden Flashes (4-7-7, 4-2-5 MAC) dropped their first game in the month of October, while Buffalo (13-1-4, 7-0-4 MAC) clinched the MAC regular season title with the win.
Buffalo got on the board early, scoring twice in the first 26 minutes and carried that lead into the halftime break. In the second half, both teams battled hard for possession, but neither team could gain any ground on the other.
Junior Dalaney Ranallo led the box score with two shots on the afternoon. Redshirt junior Lauryn Arruda and sophomore Siena Stambolich each tallied one shot on goal to lead the team.
Buffalo led in shots 14-9, but the two squads were even in shots on goal with two apiece. The Flashes held the advantage in corner kick opportunities, 6-5.
