The NIL NEST - Name, Image and Likeness
Kent State University student-athletes may now receive compensation for the use of their name, image, and likeness ("NIL"), with certain limitations. Kent State Athletics has created "The NIL NEST- #PreparedToFly" : a name, image and likeness prep that encapsulates the core values of Kent State Athletics, namely the development and preparation of student-athletes 'boldly prepared for life after sport.'
The resources below are intended to promote compliance with applicable laws and Kent State Intercollegiate Athletic policies.
The department's goal is to preserve student-athletes' eligibility, by provide clarity to their rights to receive compensation for the use of their name, image, and likeness. Additionally, to serve as a landing spot for businesses wishing to add value to their company through partnerships with Kent State student-athletes.
