Cruikshank Earns MAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND- Golden Flashes left-hander Ben Cruikshank has been named the Mid-American Conference's Pitcher of the Week for his efforts in Friday's 5-0 win over Eastern Michigan.
Cruikshank was masterful in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Eagles. The lefty threw a complete game, one-hit shutout while striking out eight against three walks.
The junior allowed only three runners to get to second base and no Eagle made it to third. Eastern Michigan hit just .045 off of Cruikshank, with Matt Kirk's single being the lone blemish on the lefty's ledger. He ends the season allowing MAC batters to hit just .175 off him in 2022, the top mark in the conference.
This is the second Pitcher of the Week honor for the Golden Flashes' staff. Cruikshank's accolades bookends with Richie Dell's honor in week one of MAC play.
