Kent, Ohio – The Kent State men's basketball team (13-3, 3-0 MAC) remains undefeated at home and in the Mid-American Conference with their 75-63 win against Toledo. The Flashes' win tonight is their seventh straight win. The Flashes are 8-0 in the M.A.C. Center for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
The Flashes' seniors led the way in a fast-paced game against the top offense in the MAC. Miryne Thomas came off electric on both sides of the court. Thomas recorded his second double-double of the season with a game-high 22 points and 13 rebounds, which were season highs. Malique Jacobs followed recording a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Sincere Carry scored 20+ points for the fifth time this season with 21.
Despite the Flashes falling behind at halftime with only two points in the last four minutes, they held Toledo to a season-low 63 points. The Flashes outrebounded the Rockets 45-to-35 with 20 coming on the offensive glass.
Ra'Heim Moss' layup cut Toledo's deficit to 66-62 with 1:54 left, but Kent State ended the contest with a 9-1 run to secure the victory. Kent remains the only team in the MAC that is undefeated in their conference.
