Trio of January Conference Games Flexed to National TV

KENT- Three Golden Flashes' games have been selected for national television as announced by the Mid-American Conference.
A trio of home games have been selected for national television. The Golden Flashes' will host a midweek MACtion game against Toledo on Tuesday, Jan. 9, and will air on CBS Sports Network with a 7 p.m. tip-off. The last time the two teams battled was in the MAC Championship game where the Flashes defeated them 93-78. Both Chris Payton and Jalen Sullinger recorded double digits. Â
The anticipated rival game against Akron has been moved to Friday, Jan. 19, and will be aired on ESPNU. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the MAC Center. The last matchup between the two teams was in the 2023 MAC Semifinals and the Flashes defeated the Zips 79-73.
The game against the Ohio Bobcats has also been flexed to Friday, January 26th. Tip time will be set for 6:30 p.m. and will air on CBS Sports Network The Flashes will look to continue their four-game win streak against the Bobcats. Â
Additional games in February and March may also get flexed to national television and will be announced as 21-day wildcard selections by the conference.
