Nine Wrestlers Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

KENT- The Golden Flashes placed nine wrestlers on the Academic-All Conference list, as announced by the Mid-American Conference.
In order to make the Academic All-Conference team recognizes those that excel in the classroom as well as in competition. A minimum 3.2 cumulative grade-point average is needed in order to qualify for the squad.
Leading the team is graduate student and national qualifier Jake Ferri. Ferri finished second at the MAC tournament at 125 pounds and posted a perfect 4.0 in the Master's of Sports Administration program.
The Flashes nine members on the Academic-All Conference squad trailed only affiliate members Cleveland State (13) and George Mason (10). In total, 84 wrestlers were named to the conference's All-Academic team, the full Kent State list is below.
