Flashes Lead the Pack After Opening Round of Robert Kepler
4/21/2023 8:59:00 PM | Men's Golf
Columbus, OH… Before impending weather conditions postponed the second round of this year's Robert Kepler Invitational, the Kent State men's golf team found themselves at the front of the field, carding a score of 280 as a team to take a five stroke lead on their competition.
The Flashes were led by Chris Vandette and Cade Breitenstine, who will resume tomorrows middle round in a deadlock for second place, each sitting two strokes below par near the top of the nearly 100-player leaderboard.
At around 6:00 on Friday, play was suspended before the sky opened up and poured down rain, pushing the rest of round two to Saturday, with play scheduled to resume at 9:30 ET.
