KENT- The Golden Flashes head back on the road on Friday, traveling to Virginia to participate in the 43rd Virginia Duals.
The two-day event features: Kent State, Navy, Oklahoma, South Dakota State, Virginia and Wisconsin. Â Each school will wrestle twice during the Duals. The Flashes will take on South Dakota State on Friday at 1:30 and Virginia at 3 p.m.
Kent State is coming off a solid showing at the Franklin and Marshall Open. Aaron Ferguson led the way, placing fifth at 165 pounds. Ferguson earned conference Wrestler of the Week honors for his efforts.
The Flashes are no strangers to the Virginia Duals, they have been a mainstay at the historic tournament, participating in every dual since the 2006-07 season. Kent State took on both South Dakota State and Virginia at last year's duals. Friday will be the fifth time the Flashes will face the Cavaliers at the Duals and 13th time overall. The Flashes will face the Jackrabbits for the third time in four seasons and fourth time overall.
