
Soccer Releases 2024 Schedule

KENT, Ohio- The Kent State's women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2024 campaign.
Head coach Rob Marinaro is set to begin his 24th season at the helm for the Golden Flashes Squad. Also returning to the staff is recently promoted Associate Head Coach Rocky Sasitharan and Assistant Coach Jenna Hellstrom. All three return to the Golden Flashes staff after a successful 2023 campaign culminating in a Mid-American Conference Championship game berth.
The Golden Flashes will start the 2024 season against a trio of Horizon League foes, starting at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium against Cleveland State on Aug. 15. Following by a short trip over to Youngstown for a matchup against the Penguins on Aug. 18, Kent State will return home on Aug. 25 to square off with Oakland.
The Golden Flashes then hit the road for the next two weeks starting with James Madison on Aug. 29 and continuing with matches at Colgate on Sept. 1 and Duquesne on Sept. 8. The-non-conference portion of the schedule will wrap up down in Lexington with a matchup against the University of Kentucky on Sept. 13.
Conference play starts on Sept. 19 when Kent State travels to Toledo to close out a 5-game road trip. The Flashes will then return to their home turf for a pair of games against Ball State (Sept. 22) and Miami (Sept. 26). The Flashes will close out the month with a trip down to Athens to face off against the Ohio Bobcats.
As the Flashes head into October, they will have road tests at Northern Illinois (Oct. 10), Buffalo (Oct. 17), and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 27). The Flashes will be at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium to square off with Western Michigan (Oct. 5), Central Michigan (Oct. 13), Akron (Oct. 24), and Bowling Green to wrap up the conference slate on Oct. 31.
The MAC Tournament will take place November 3-10 on the campus of the regular season champion.
