Schaffer Places 4th, Leads Flashes at F&M Open

Lancaster, PA- Blake Schaffer led the Flashes with a 4th finish at the Franklin and Marshall Open.
The Junior opened his tournament with a 15-0 technical fall over Harvard's Mason Pelligri. Schaffer then defeated Clarion's Connor Jacobs 10-4 to advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, Schaffer wrestled Army West Point's Reid Schroeder. Schaffer won by major decision 19-7 to advance to the semis. In the semifinals, Schaffer was pinned by Lehigh's JT Davis in :39. In the third place match, Schaffer wrestled Joe Curtis of Columbia and was pinned in 2:33
The Flashes will be back in action on January 17 against SIUE. The match will be in the MAC Center and will start at 7 PM.Â
