Kent State was able to push their lead to 23-7 entering the single bonus with just under 10 minutes to play in the first half. The Seahawks began to cut into the KSU lead in the waning minutes of the opening 20 minutes making a 27-20 push. Kent State took a nine-point lead into the half leading 43-34. UNCW carried their heat from the close of the first half into the second as The Golden Flashes saw their lead evaporate in the opening minutes of the second. Quinn Woidke's entrance into the game for the second half lit a fire under Kent State as the freshman hit a trio of threes to give the Flashes back narrow lead. As the clock dipped below five minutes the Flashes took control keeping their cushion with great defensive stops and key free throws from Rob Whaley Jr. and Medley. With 26 second left to play Medley stole the ball and dished it to Gillespie who threw down the exclamation point. 86-77 was your final.
