Morgan Safford Named MAC Co-Player of the Week

CLEVLAND – Graduate Student guard Morgan Safford has been named Mid-American Conference Co-Player of the Week. The Conference announced their opening week winners on Monday.
Through two games Safford has racked up 55 points scoring a new Kent State career high of 34 on Nov. 7 against Cornell. He went 10-17 and 9-15 from beyond the arch. He currently leads the roster in average points per game at 27.5. Additionally, he has grabbed nine boards and five steals.
This marks Kent State's first conference weekly award of the 2025-2026 season, and Morgan Safford's first as a Golden Flash.
