
Robeson Named MAC Softball Player of the Week

CLEVELAND — Kent State senior Delaney Robeson has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Robeson had a monster weekend at the plate and led the Golden Flashes at the Mizuno Showdown with a .684/.700/1.211 slash, seven runs scored, three home runs and seven RBIs. She went 13-for-19 overall and had multiple hits in all five games, beginning with a 4-for-4 performance against Harvard.
She recorded the 100th hit of her Golden Flashes career during the third inning of Saturday's win over Saint Joseph's and went 5-for-7 with a home run and three RBIs in two games against host North Carolina.
On the season, Robeson is the MAC leader in batting average (.458) and hits (27).
Kent State will remain in the state for the final weekend of non-conference play with four games at the Ohio State Tournament from March 8-9.
