
Five Golden Flashes named NWCA Scholar All-Americans, Tying Program Record

Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA D1 Men's Scholar All-American Awards on Wednesday. These exceptional student-athletes have excelled both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following criteria:
- All nominees are determined by the academic records returned and the results in TrackWrestling.
- Top 8 and 3.00 GPA
- National Qualifier and 3.2 GPA
- Conference qualifier and 3.5 GPA
- 15 matches with 60% win record and 3.5 GPA
"The NWCA is proud to recognize these outstanding individuals who embody excellence in both athletics and academics," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer.
Kent State had 5 Flashes named NWCA Scholar All-Americans. This ties a program record with the 2018 team that also saw 5 Flashes named as NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
