
Jaymen Townsend Signs with Kent State Men’s Basketball

KENT – Jaymen Townsend has signed his Grant-In-Aid Agreement to join Kent State men's basketball. The Marion, Indiana native will join the Flashes for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
Playing both guard and forward, Townsend spent his senior season playing for Putnam Science (Conn.) & Victory Rock Prep (Fla.). He was named to the SIAA National Division All-State team for his play during the 2024-2025 season at Victory Rock.
Prior to prep school, Townsend spent three seasons playing for Marion High School. He averaged 21.4 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists during his junior season in 2023-2024. Townsend was named to the IBCA Underclass All-State Supreme 15 team, and First Team All-NCC.
"I am happy that Jaymen is joining our program.", said coach Senderoff. "He is a strong, physical wing who fits the mold of what we look for with our roster. He brings versatility and toughness to our program which is also something we value. I am really excited to watch his development here at Kent State and can't wait to work with him."
