
MAC Releases 2025-2026 Men’s Basketball Schedule

CLEVELAND — Kent State Men's Basketball will open Mid-American Conference play on the road against newly added UMass on Dec. 20, 2025, as the league office released the 2025-2026 conference men's basketball schedule on Thursday.
Following a bye, the Golden Flashes will open 2026 hosting Northern Illinois on Jan. 3, then Bowling Green on Jan. 6. Kent State then travels to Central Michigan on Jan. 10, then to Buffalo on Jan. 13. The Flashes then return home for matchups against Toledo on Jan. 17 and Miami (OH) on Jan. 20. The Blue and Gold then travel to Eastern Michigan on Jan. 24 prior to hosting Ohio on Jan. 27.
Kent State's first meeting with the University of Akron is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 at James A. Roades Arena. This begins a three-game road trip for the Golden Flashes as they then take on Toledo on Feb. 3, before playing their second opponent of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.
The MAC schedule continues Feb. 11 at home against Eastern Michigan. Kent State then travels to take on Ball State on Feb. 14, and Bowling Green on Feb. 17. Following another bye on Feb. 21, the Flashes host Central Michigan on Feb. 24. Kent State's meeting with Akron will take place inside the M.A.C. Center on Saturday, Feb. 28. The Golden Flashes' final road conference game will be at Norther Illinois on March 3 prior to closing out the regular season at home against Western Michigan on March 6.
Across their 18-game conference schedule, Kent State will only play six opponents once including Ball State, Buffalo, UMass, Miami (OH), Ohio, and Western Michigan.
