
Kent State Falls at Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Kent State Men's Basketball (12-4) dropped their first Mid-American Conference game of the 2025-2026 season on Saturday afternoon at Central Michigan University by a final score of 87-85. A trio of Golden Flashes scored double-digits in a game that was close for a full forty minutes.
Jahari Williamson led the Golden Flashes in scoring for the second time with 23 points making six three pointers and going 1.000 at the free throw line (5-5). Morgan Safford was just behind him on the scoresheet dropping 20 points going 8-16 from the floor. Cian Medley tallied 14 points for his second straight double-digit performance while also dishing out a roster leading eight assists. Delrecco Gillespie continued his dominance on the boards pulling down a career high of 23. This surpassed his previous career high posted on Dec. 20 when he grabbed 20 rebounds surpassing 500 on his career in the same game. The senior forward continues to be a national leader in rebounding.

The Golden Flashes will be back in action weekend on the road against the University at Buffalo Bulls on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 13. Tip-off between Kent State and the hosting Bulls is set for 6:30 p.m.
