
Kent State Wrestling Drops Hard-Fought Conference Battle To NIU

DeKalb, Illinois- The Kent State Wrestling team dropped a Mid-American Conference Dual Meet to the Northern Illinois Huskies on Friday in a highly competitive battle by a score of 19-17
The Flashes started out hot winning four of the first five bouts, but the Huskies stormed back to win by winning the final five. Earning the most points on the day for the Blue and Gold was Ethan Barr(174), who recorded a pin in the second round of his match over Tommy Bennett.
Blake Schaffer(197) earned an impressive five team points for the Flashes with an 18-2 Technical Fall victory over Dominic Heim. Ronnie Dimmerling and Reese Stephen each grinded out one-point Decision victories by scores of 7-6 and 3-2 respectively.
