
Brody Williams ranked D1 Baseball’s 30th best catcher in the nation

KENT, Ohio — Kent State senior catcher Brody Williams ranked as the 30th-best catcher in the nation in D1Baseball Top-50 catcher preseason rankings.
In 2025, Williams had a .341 batting average, 53 runs batted in, and seven home runs. Defensively, Williams had 363 putouts and held a .985 fielding percentage.
During his junior season, Williams was ranked 32nd in the D1Baseball preseason rankings. He had also received a MAC Player of the Week Award and was on the Buster Posey National Collegiate Midseason Catcher of the Year watch list.
Kent State leads off its season on the road February 13against Southeastern Louisiana University.
