Delrecco Gillespie Named MAC Player of the Week for Third Time this Season

CLEVELAND – Senior forward Delrecco Gillespie picked up his third Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honor of the 2025-2026 season. The conference announced on Monday, Feb. 16.
Gillespie helped lead the Golden Flashes to a pair of victories this past week posting his 19th and 20th double-doubles of the season. He was efficient in both wins, averaging 18.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 10-of-18 from the field and 16-of-18 from the charity stripe. His 15 points and 12 rebounds helped complete the comeback over Eastern Michigan on Tuesday night (Feb. 11). He then tallied 22 points and 14 boards against Ball State on Saturday (Feb. 14), recording his nation-leading 20th double-double. It also marked his 12th game of the season scoring over 20 points.
This marks Kent State's fourth conference weekly award of the 2025-2026 season.
