
Men's Golf Announces Yap as 2026 Signee

KENT, Ohio - The Kent State men's golf team has announced the signing of Alexander Yap as part of the 2026 class.
Yap, out of Hope Island, Australia, will be a transfer from Eastern Arizona College. He attended Assisi Catholic College for his secondary education.
At Eastern Arizona, Yap has won two tournaments, placed top ten in six, four of which he either won or placed second. Yap is currently the #23 NJCAA golfer nationally.
"Signing Alexander is a huge addition for us. As a transfer, he's already been through the grind of college golf and enjoyed success along the way with multiple wins," says head coach Jon Mills.
"What stands out most is his work ethic and competitive mindset. He's very driven which fits into our team mindset. we can't wait to get to work with him and help elevate his game even further. We're fired up to have Alexander Yap represent our program."
