KENT – Transfer forward Latif Diouf has joined Kent State Men's Basketball. The Gouda, Netherlands native will join the Golden Flashes for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
Diouf comes to Kent State University from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he spent the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons. He appeared in five games during the 2025-2026 season prior to injury. During the 2024-2025 season he appeared in 31 games as the Mocs battled their way to the National Invitation Tournament championship. Diouf scored in all five NIT contests while averaging 3.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Diouf started the first three games of the NIT a perfect 6-of-6 FG from the field. He ended the season shooting 61.5 FG% (8-13).
"I have watched Latif since he was in high school and followed him as he had a very promising start to his college career at UT Chattanooga.", said coach Sedneroff. "They won the NIT the year we went to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, he got injured after a few games this year and needed to take a medical redshirt. When he entered the portal, he became an immediate priority for our staff because of his size and versatility. He is an awesome young man, and I am excited to add a player with his ability to our program."
